<p>Although the cost of setting up a cloud kitchen is low, one does save on the front of the house cost, but sometimes cloud kitchen operators do not factor in the high working capital for running a successful cloud kitchen. It generally takes 6 to 9 months to come into profits, depending upon your cloud kitchen’s location, menu offering, pricing and food cost.</p>



<p>The ideal menu for a cloud kitchen should be with low food cost and higher yield, for which one can charge a decent amount and the customer does not mind paying. One should always keep a close watch on the food cost and tweak the menu regularly according to the pricing and availability of the raw materials and customer demand.</p>



<p>Maintaining consistency in food delivery through its quality and packaging experience, is utmost critical, in order to create guest satisfaction, retention of customers, by gaining their loyalty and in turn getting repeat orders.</p>



<p>Failure to create direct delivery options via promoting the brand’s website and encouraging the customers to order directly and the cloud kitchen delivering a better experience than the delivery partner makes a huge impact on the profitability of the cloud kitchen.</p>



<p>Another very important factor is the lack of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), the success of a cloud kitchen depends on how effectively and efficiently the SOPs are implemented and followed by the team and not adhering to the SOPs leads to poor operations management and controls.</p>



<p>One feels that while we are online on the food delivery partner’s platform, the cloud kitchen does not need to do any kind of marketing. It is very imperative to create a direct customer base and reach out to as many customers as you can. The online aggregators have a limited area of delivery for a particular cloud kitchen, but how does one reach out beyond that area. Failure to do so again leads to low sales and profits.</p>



<p>There are many reasons for the failure of cloud kitchens, but the most critical reasons are thin margins, kitchen space rentals, higher commission of the third party online delivery partners, rising competition, lack of dining experience, lack of SOPs, inconsistency in operations and food preparations, poor financial planning, fancy and elaborate menus, lack of marketing, lack of guest interaction as explained above.</p>



<p>Hence, before entering the cloud kitchen space one should do a thorough analysis and be prepared to face the challenges of the cloud kitchen business.</p>

One must either be affiliated by a Franchise Agreement or Membership or a Brand Created independently. A Brand provides an identity and a sense of consistency. Creation of a Brand can be achieved, by focusing on the expectation and market analysis &amp; all deliverables including the Brand manual.</p>



<p>A brand is the identity of a specific product, its service delivery &amp; its consistency. Brand Standards distinguish facilities from its competitive set, so as to establish their own customer preference. Customers are likely to prefer well-known&nbsp;<a href="https://hospitality.economictimes.indiatimes.com/tag/hotel+/+resort+brands" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hotel / Resort Brands</a>&nbsp;because of their distinguished Brand Standards, over generic products in order to minimize their R&amp;D &amp; risk.</p>

<p>Communication &amp; Deliver of Brand Standards should match each other. Very importantly, the Service Standards provide the staff with guidelines as to what they should be doing for their guests. Standards help to identify and close service gaps.</p>



<p>A Satisfied and a Happy Guest becomes the Hotel’s / Resort’s Brand Ambassador and tends to bring in referral &amp; repeat business for the Hotel / Resort.</p>

<h6 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Gaurs Group, one of India’s leading Delhi based real estate firm has announced delivery with the offer of fit-outs for its Rs 750 crores, Gaur City Mall, at Greater Noida West.</strong></h6>



<p>The mall is touted to be the first and largest mall of Greater Noida West with over 8.45 lac square feet of retail area.<br>Gaur City Mall, which is Ground + 20 floors in total has the mall on the first 5 floors followed by offices and service apartments and has signed up with Radisson Hotels for an upscale 180 key Luxury Hotel at the top. The mall is a part of 25 acres Gaur City commercial hub which has Gaur City Center – a commercial project, biggest multilevel parking of the region for 5600 cars, an operational petrol pump and an upcoming hospital of Gaurs Group’s 237 acres Integrated township. Gaur City has been developed with an investment of Rs 8000 crore and will be housing close to 29,000 families in Greater Noida West. With a huge retail area catering to shoppers, the mall will also have a 180 key upscale Radisson Hotel, which itself is the first in the region. Along with this, the mall will also have commercial office spaces and service apartments.</p>



<p>The retail area has already been flooded by brands in multiple sections, be it the anchor stores or F&amp;B. The mall would have coffee shops, restaurants, lounges, gym, spa and banqueting &amp; conferencing facilities. Located right on the Gaur Chowk – entry to Gr Noida West region and on the 130-metre wide road, the mall is in close vicinity to the approved metro station. The mall would cater to the huge population of Gr Noida West which is close to 3 lac residents. Gaur City alone would have a population of close to 1.5 lac residents when fully occupied.PVR Cinemas is the Multiplex partner at the mall to provide the best cinematic experience. Anchor store brands like Shoppers Stop, Lifestyle, Big Bazaar, Globus, Pantaloons, Reliance Trends, Home Center, Max, Fab India have already tied up along with vanilla store brands like Raymond, Miniso, Puma, Blackberry, Adidas, W, BIBA and many more. The mall would also embody the best in dining and food outlets with Barbeque nation, Imperfecto, Starbucks, Burger King, Smoke Factory, Subway, Dominos, Carls Jr, already in place. In total almost 80+ brands have been signed at Gaur City Mall ensuring success from the word go.</p>



<p>This is the group’s second shopping mall. It has already developed ‘Gaur Central Mall’ at Raj Nagar District Centre in Ghaziabad. The Group has plans to start 3 more malls this year with 2 in the NCR region and one in Dehradun. The group is also developing multiple group housing projects in Noida, Greater Noida West and Siddharth Vihar (Ghaziabad) along with a 250-acres township project, Gaur Yamuna City on Yamuna Expressway.
